The DHCP server in Windows Server 2008 R2 has invested in the areas of security, reliability, manageability and usability. Similarly on the DHCP Client in Windows 7 has invested on certain optimization for obtaining IP Address.

The Microsoft Windows DHCP Team have updated there blog with a full list of enhancements or major changes to DHCP that will be released with Windows Server 2008 R2 then complimented by Windows 7.

There is an extensive list but the tagline they are promoting is security, reliability, manageability and useability, all sounds good but as they say the proof is in the pudding.
